The West Grey Warriors Bantam Rep team were on a
high after beating Tweed in the semi-finals and were ready to take on The Delhi Rockets to win
the title of OMHA Champions. The first game was in front of a home crowd
that filled the barn on March 16. Unfortunately, the Rockets found the
net twice and the Warriors dropped the first game 2-0. Shaking off the
loss, West Grey travelled to Delhi on March 17. It was a bit of a déjà vu when the
Warriors were down 2-0 after the first. The second period saw lots of
action and the Warriors were up 4-2, and then topped it off with a 6-2 win to
tie the series at one game each.

The Warriors trekked south to
the Forest area Thursday night, January 24 before the weather deteriorated. The
first team West Grey played against the next morning was Cincinnati, coming
away with a 1-0 win. Later in the day they faced East Lambton and despite
dominating the puck for most of the game, they walked away with a 0-2 loss.
Saturday was a new day and Tweed was the team to beat with an impressive record.

Pretty quick into the first Cody tipped the shot from
Griffin to get us on the board. Shortly
after Lucas followed up to give us a 2-0 lead.
The second period saw Reid getting both assists for Griffins and Lucas
goal sending us into the third with 4-0 lead.
Camo setup Farlow for the final goal.
The Warriors were setting up the trap for most of the third and Wingham
was less than thrilled. The end of the
period was starting to get messy and fists were swinging, filling up the
penalty box. West Grey did well to avoid
the distractions, stayed defensive and keep their head in the game for the 5-0
win, great job Warriors!!
