On Jan.5, West Grey hosted an atom local league tournament where West Grey Team #1 ended up battling it out with West Grey Team #2 in the consolation championship game.
This championship game proved to be a nail-biting finish. With great offence from both teams the score was tied 1-1 after three periods. Next came a five-minute sudden death overtime period where the defence on both ends played exceptional and no one scored.
